Lindsey L. Archer (Studio Director)

Lindsey is a native of the Golden Isles of Georgia where she trained in classical dance under Jill Stanford and Eleanor Brooks. She began performing professionally as a teenager with the Jekyll Island Musical Theatre Festival. Lindsey earned a BFA in Theatre Performance from the nationally accredited theatre program at Valdosta State University where she was a Bernard Linger Fine Arts Scholar. She has worked continuously as a performer, choreographer, director and teacher around the country. Before returning to Atlanta, Lindsey worked as an entertainer in New York City, and also served as the Resident Choreographer for Charleston Stage Company in Charleston, SC. She has also previously worked in the Atlanta area with Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Aurora Theatre, ArtStation, Theatre in the Square, Synchronicity Performance Group and Actor's Express. Lindsey has 15+ years of teaching experience and feels very blessed to be sharing her love of theatre, dance and music with her fantastic students at Musical Theater.Center and Once Upon a Ballet. When not singing and dancing in the classroom you can find Lindsey singing and dancing at home with her husband, Drew, their twins, Celia and Joel, and their new arrival, Audrey!

These directors and teachers are highly trained professional performers who are commited to the individualized care of each student, while nurturing a supportive group environment. 

Melissa Compton Green (Ballet, Musical Theater)

Melissa recently relocated to the Atlanta area from Raleigh, North Carolina. Melissa has been on stage dancing, acting, singing, and playing piano/guitar since she was 11 years old. She began her training with the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory then graduated from Peace College with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Melissa has had the pleasure of training in dance, choreography, directing, and singing in many states on the east coast from New York to Florida. She began teaching at the age of 17 and has been hooked ever since! Melissa is thrilled to be able to share her passion with the growing artists in all of her classes. 

Maggie McCown (Ballet, Acting, Musical Theater, Tap)

Maggie is a professional musical theatre artist from Atlanta who has performed at several regional theatres throughout the country, assisted many Broadway performers and choreographers, and has a huge heart for teaching. She graduated from the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts as a dance major in 2016 and just recently graduated from The University of Alabama where she received a Bachelor's of Arts in Musical Theatre and Dance. She has appeared in many regional productions such as Hairspray, Mamma Mia, and West Side Story at theatres such as City Spring's Theatre Company, Red Mountain Theatre Company, and Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre. Recently she served as an Artistic Associate for The Broadway Dreams foundation where she worked closely with Broadway choreographers, directors, and performers. Additionally, she has taught for years at ballet camps and classes at the Guatemalan orphanage, Casa Aleluya. Maggie has been teaching at Atlanta dance studios for going on five years now and is thrilled to be joining the Once Upon a Ballet team. She believes the future of our world is greatly dependent upon the youth today and that empowering the next generation through art is crucial for necessary change. Mona Swain (Ballet, Musical Theater)

Mona Swain is a graduate of Pebblebrook High School's performing arts program and has been continuing her musical theatre studies at Reinhardt University. Her most recent show credits include "She Loves Me' at Reinhardt University as Well as "War Paint" with the Atlanta Lyric Theatre. 

Grace VandeWaa (Ballet Company Director, Ballet, Contemporary, Tap)


Grace is originally from Zeeland, MI where she learned to dance, sing, and act at her public high school. She fell in love with the performing arts and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Alabama in Dance and Theatre where she was a Presidential Scholar. Throughout college she performed in various capacities including as Dance Captain for Theatre Tuscaloosa, Agnes in the play She Kills Monsters, lead in an award-winning short film Dance Macabre, and too many dance productions to count as both dancer and choreographer. Grace also had the privilege to study dance and Shakespeare for four months at the University of Roehampton in London, UK. Other professional credits include projects in Grand Rapids MI, Sanspointe Dance Company in Birmingham AL, and Legends In Concert based in Las Vegas NV.

Grace began teaching at 16 years old and never stopped. She has experience teaching ballet, pointe, jazz, musical theatre, tap, contemporary, and modern. As a choreographer, Grace has worked with students of all ages and abilities and finds so much joy in helping create something that can bring joy to both the students and their parents. She is overjoyed to share her love for the performing arts with the Once Upon a Ballet and Musical Theater Center community!

Molly Wiley (Ballet, Acting, Musical Theater)

Molly is very happy to work and play with Once Upon A Ballet! Molly began her studies in Musical Theatre at James Madison University, but graduated from Brenau University/The Gainesville Theatre Alliance. Recently she has worked with companies like The Legacy Theatre (GODSPELL), The Wallace Buice Theatre Co. (PARADE, A BING CROSBY CHRISTMAS), and OnStage Atlanta (HEATHERS)!  When she’s not with her ballet gals- she’s teaching piano and voice lessons. You can follow her adventures at: mollywiley.com

Caroline (Ballet, Acting, Musical Theater)

Caroline has been dancing and preforming her whole life and is so excited to be teaching with Once Upon a Ballet & Musical Theater Center where she got her start! Caroline is a senior at Holy Innocents Episcopal School. Anytime she is not at school she is dancing. She has trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, musical theater, and acrobatics.
