Lindsey L. Archer (Studio Director, Ballet, Tap, Musical Theater, Director/Choreographer)
Lindsey is a native of the Golden Isles of Georgia where she trained in classical dance under Jill Stanford and Eleanor Brooks. She began performing professionally as a teenager with the Jekyll Island Musical Theatre Festival. Lindsey earned a BFA in Theatre Performance from the nationally accredited theatre program at Valdosta State University where she was a Bernard Linger Fine Arts Scholar. She has worked continuously as a performer, choreographer, director and teacher around the country. Before returning to Atlanta, Lindsey worked as an entertainer in New York City, and also served as the Resident Choreographer for Charleston Stage Company in Charleston, SC. She has also previously worked in the Atlanta area with Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Aurora Theatre, ArtStation, Theatre in the Square, Synchronicity Performance Group and Actor's Express. Lindsey has 15+ years of teaching experience and feels very blessed to be sharing her love of theatre, dance and music with her fantastic students at Musical Theater.Center and Once Upon a Ballet. When not singing and dancing in the classroom you can find Lindsey singing and dancing at home with her husband, Drew, their twins, Celia and Joel, and their new arrival, Audrey!
Melissa Compton Green (Ballet, Musical Theater)
Melissa recently relocated to the Atlanta area from Raleigh, North Carolina. Melissa has been on stage dancing, acting, singing, and playing piano/guitar since she was 11 years old. She began her training with the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory then graduated from Peace College with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Melissa has had the pleasure of training in dance, choreography, directing, and singing in many states on the east coast from New York to Florida. She began teaching at the age of 17 and has been hooked ever since! Melissa is thrilled to be able to share her passion with the growing artists in all of her classes.
Chris Nanny (Music Director, Private Piano/Voice)
Chris Nanny is an award winning theatrical performer, musician, vocalist and sought after performance coach in the Atlanta area. Under Chris’ influence as a gifted piano instructor, vocal teacher and performance coach, his clients have gone on to appear on stage and screen globally with credits given to performances at Carnegie Hall, The White House and The Walt Disney Company just to name a few. Chris has served as chief music director across the east coast in musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Sound of Music, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and just recently is credited to the role of Neville Craven in Lucy Simon’s Tony Award Winning musical, The Secret Garden. In his spare time Chris contributes back to the arts community by serving in local churches as a musician, gifted speaker and vocalist. Chris attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia where he studied music and vocal performance and continues to devote his energy to training and coaching people of all ages in the field of music.
Megan Wheeler (Ballet, Acting, Musical Theater)
Megan is thrilled to be joining the Once Upon A Ballet team! Originally from Valdosta, GA, Megan received her degree in Theatre from VSU and shortly after moved to NYC. Throughout her 5 year stay in the Big Apple, she had the opportunity to perform in several shows and sing with a group known as The Manhattan Dolls, a jazz group that sang mostly songs of the 30s and 40s in the style of The Andrews Sisters. She has recently moved to the Atlanta area and is eager to see what the city holds!
Olivia Rowe (Ballet Company Director, Creative Ballet & Upper Division Ballet)
Olivia Rowe is the founder and artistic director of The Esthete Collective. She is also a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher, and stage manager in the Atlanta area. She graduated from Kennesaw State University in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Olivia's professional performance endeavors include companies Fuerta Dance Company, City Gate Dance Theater, Ballet Southeast, and Gotta Dance Contemporary where she has performed both classical and contemporary works. At Kennesaw State, she has been honored to work with choreographers such as Christine Winkler, Martha Goodman, Lisa Lock, and Dr. Ivan Pulinkala. In high school, Olivia trained at Atlanta Academy of Ballet as a professional trainee, as well as Balletmet Columbus and Nashville Ballet. She received her early dance education at Impact Dance of Atlanta. In college, she was privileged to study Gaga dance technique at the Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv, Israel.
In addition to her artistic endeavors, Olivia is passionate about bringing the joy of dance into her community. She is the Director at projectENCORE, a local charitable organization that collects and redistributes gently used dance costumes and attire. In college, she served as Events Chair for the Kennesaw State chapter of the National Honors Society for Dance Arts, a program of the National Dance Education Organization. Olivia also served on the KSU Student Arts Council her senior year. Olivia was chosen as a 2019 Palette Project emerging choreographer, and worked in association with Dance Canvas to produce a new work, entitled "Is time passing, or is it just me?" She was also commissioned to set her work "Matutine" on professional company Ballet Southeast in their inaugural mixed repertory showcase in 2018. Her senior capstone project, a choreographic work entitled "Dichotomic," was one of six works selected out of twenty KSU dance student works to be professionally produced at the Spring Dance Concert in 2018.
As an educator, Olivia has fostered a love of dance in students of all ages. She is experienced in teaching classical ballet, contemporary, modern, pointe, lyrical, cross-training, and pas de deux. She incorporates pedagogical and kinesiological principals learned in her collegiate studies into all classes, encouraging safe and healthy practice. Olivia has taught for Impact Dance of Atlanta, Atlanta Academy of Ballet, The Esthete Collective, Westchester Elementary, Little Forest Preschool, Spirit of Dance Company, and more. She is so excited to share her passion with the talented dancers at Once Upon a Ballet.
Molly Wiley (Ballet, Acting, Musical Theater)
Molly is very happy to work and play with Once Upon A Ballet! Molly began her studies in Musical Theatre at James Madison University, but graduated from Brenau University/The Gainesville Theatre Alliance. Recently she has worked with companies like The Legacy Theatre (GODSPELL), The Wallace Buice Theatre Co. (PARADE, A BING CROSBY CHRISTMAS), and OnStage Atlanta (HEATHERS)!
